The Jones Movie They Should Have Made.
One of the perks of not paying to see certain movies is that you avoid the guilt associated with losing $10 and 2 hours of your life. As I managed to finagle my way into an unpaid showing of the new Indy flick, I ended up losing slightly more than 2 hours, but considerably less than ten bucks destroying a portion of my childhood on Saturday night. And it was worth every penny I paid. After about 2 decades, the Hollywood film industry decided they wanted to print money and cajoled ol’ Harrison into another Indiana Jones run-through with the whip and fedora. People in their late 20s are poorer for it in so many different ways. What went wrong? And is it fair to armchair-quarterback a sequel of my own? (more…)
